Information to HELP YOU Prepare for Your Visit.

Here are some important notes and common questions that you should know before your visit, to help make your experience as smooth as possible!

WHAT SHOULD I PREPARE FOR, BEFORE AN: MRI / CT / ULTRASOUND?

Patients undergoing the aforementioned examinations should be aware of precautions before the examination. In all MRI cases the patient will be inside of a scanner for approximately 20-30 minutes depending on the type of exam – this is most likely to fail if the patient is claustrophobic so be aware and prepared. Patients undergoing exams with and without contrast will need an injection.

Depending on the type of ultrasound examination, patients may be required to fast (not eat) of have a full bladder prior to their examination.

DO YOU TAKE X-Rays & Walk Ins?

X-Rays are performed on a first come first serve basis without an appointment. We will perform your X-Rays between 8am-4:30pm at any of our locations. All you need is an order from your doctor, a photo I.D., and insurance if you do not wish to pay cash.

HOW MUCH DOES EACH SERVICE COST?

Please visit our pricing page to see a list of our cash prices. We accept most major insurance, however it is always a good idea to confirm if California Medical Imaging is within your own health care provider network to avoid costly procedures. Additionally, sliding scale schedules exist for patients that qualify. Procedures paid in cash are expected to be paid in full at time of exam.

ARE LABS REQUIRED?

Labs are required on all patients with diabetes, renal abnormalities, or patients over the age of 65. Labs must be done within 30 days prior to the patient’s examination.

I HAVE QUESTIONS, WHO SHOULD I CONTACT?

Your health and experience within our facility is important to us. Our ability to provide the best care possible is our goal, which is why patients with questions and comments are encouraged to speak with our patient care liaisons at administrator@calrads.com.
